Bush Heath Lane

Client:                       Linfoot Country Homes Ltd

Project:                     Bush Heath Lane, Harbury, Warwickshire

Sector:                      Residential

Our Role:                  Our client required a partial architectural service to include R.I.B.A. stages A - G.

Key Features:          The site is on the outskirts of a small village lacking in space for new homes for the grown up families of villagers. Warwickshire Rural - a local housing association undertook a needs survey which identified a requirement for 49 new homes, a mixture of social and open market. A site was identified on the outskirts of the village and this was purchased from a local farmer with a view to obtaining planning permission for the new homes. Our client Linfoot Country Homes were approached to provide a design and build solution to the project. Liverpool PSDA provided design & detail drawing package for the site and houses which comprised a mix of 2 - 4 bedroom homes, 22 social and 27 open market. Both the social and open market homes have been marketed initially only to people with a family connection to the village.

The site has been developed in two phases with an initial build of 22 homes (13 social & 9 open market). Phase 2 is currently under construction providing 10 social and 17 open market homes for local people.

Benefits to Client: By using Liverpool PSDA our client utilised our experience in housing design developed over twenty years as a practice, incorporating the requirements of Code for Sustainable Homes, Lifetime Homes and Building for Life. The  housing association are very happy with the homes provided and most of  the open market houses were sold off plan during construction.

Client Testimonial: We have worked with Liverpool PSDA on a number of residential projects over the past 5 years and are impressed not only with the quality of the design work but also their abilty to meet deadlines and provide clear and concise construction information
